Snow Day

Here in East TN, they don’t get a whole lot of snow and people get skeered and don’t know how to drive in it.

(And they don’t have snow plows…)

But last Thursday we got snow.

The city called Friday a Snow Day!  (I think we got about an inch.)  Madison couldn’t have been happier.

Friday morning Wes dug out the sleds and I grabbed the camera.  I WAS NOT going to sled because my back has been sore for a few weeks and I’ve been visiting my chiropractor regularly.

But it looked so fun that I gave it a try.  And I tumbled head over rump at the bottom of the hill!

I’ll be seeing my chiropractor a few extra times this week.

 

Madison was laughing so hard she couldn’t hold the camera still.  Hope you enjoy the spectacle as much as she did.

  2. I’m sure your chiro will be glad to fit in a few extra visits 🙂 Next time follow the crowd and lay down on the thing! Maybe submit to America’s Funniest Videos ?! Glad you’re okay above all.

    • I thought laying on my stomach would hurt worse so I sat up. I didn’t realize how FAST I would fly down that hill!

  5. Thankfully we don’t get much snow here either because people here can’t even drive when the ground is dry.

  9. You and my sister who lives in Atlanta……I get such a giggle from you all when there is but a tiny dusting of snow! LOL We are here in central IL and woke up to -10 this morning and it has to be 6-12 ” and a blizzard before it’s called a snow day…. My sister saw our temps this morning and sent me an e-mail asking if the kids were out of school. I couldn’t imagine what she was talking about. She said “well because it’s so cold up there”. All kidding aside I’m actually very jealous of your wonderful weather down south!

  11. Funny! Why is it that the one with the bad back gets thrown off the sled doing a full tumble? Which is why I have to refuse to do simple activities. Yes, my back may be tender often (and my neck is tender, and I suffer from migraines….) but I would be the one to really screw it up more!!! Hope you are no worse off for being a great mom and joining in!
