the perfect container for touch up paint

All Posts, Painting, Remodeling 101

Last week, while finishing up my many living room projects, I had quite a few paint touch ups that I needed to make.  I bought this grey in a 5 gallon bucket so I had to find a container that I could carry up and down the ladder.  I usually have plastic food containers I can pull out of the recycling bins but this time, there were none to be found.  There was, however, an empty milk jug on the counter and I had a light bulb moment!  A plastic, handled milk jug would make the the perfect container for touch up paint!

I just used a pair of scissors to cut out an opening, making sure to leave the handle in tact.the perfect container for touch up paint

It’s really light and easy to manage with one hand so I can safely climb up and down the ladder with in in tow and my arm doesn’t get tired holding it while cutting in or doing touch ups.  Great when you need to cut in too!

How to use touch up paintBest part?  I can set the brush in the paint and prop the handle up against the side of the container.  There’s a perfect little notch where the spout used to be.

For clean up, you can throw it away or let the paint dry and then peel it off the plastic and use it again.

How awesome is that!??!

Pretty awesome.

You’re welcome!  LOL

Good idea, will try it, beats hauling a tin up and down the ladder.
