Patching, Planks and Casings
I last left you with the news that my living room now sports a shiny white toilet. I’ve been making progress. First I had to cut some holes to find some wires because I couldn’t remember where I left my wires for a light switch which will turn on a light in this “whatever it turns out to be” cubby. Then I had to patch the holes, replace the drywall and mud all the seams.
Then I installed some planks. These are 5/8″ tongue and groove planks like I installed in my Master Closet.
Put the planks on three walls but have to case this door before I can treat this wall so … moving on to anther project — again!
I have to case this entire pocket hole door on three sides …
…so I might as well finish the casings in this whole hallway at the same time.
It just makes sense!
Yep, I echo what everyone else has said. You amaze me with your projects and “know-how.” You’re sort of my Super Hero DIY’er 🙂 So I’m about to start clearing out my garage so I can get started on setting up my garage as a work shop for this newbie tool-obsessed chick :). I will be scouring your site for getting started with my new compound miter saw, nail gun, and everything else! Thanks for doing what you do, girl.

You are amazing! I need to spend a week just reading through all your posts and building myself so I can learn some new tricks! So much to learn so little time 🙂
I don’t know how you do it all. Was your’s just ‘on the job’ training? Take a picture of all the reference books you must have, I would like to see them. You continually amaze me 🙂
Your on a roll! Maybe before Thanksgiving? Hey were you ever able to find the name of that red paint on your front door? We need to repaint ours next Spring.

Where did you find your planks? I’ve been on the hunt for some for my half bath, but can’t find any that are just plain and simple tongue and groove!
