You guys…are…awesome!
That’s all there is to it.
I read through every single comment to my question about what to do with my “Hated Bathroom”. Sorry if I haven’t replied to yours yet, I have read and considered them all.
I have also made a decision!
First off, I have to address the “Put in a shower” opinion. If I pull the wall in so it’s not sticking out into the living room, there will barely be room enough for that tiny tub/shower let alone a walk in shower so that, my friends is not happening. (I LOVE the idea of it though.)
Second, I want to have somewhere for guest to “Freshen Up” so ditching the whole bathroom is not it.
What’s that leave?
Powder room!
Yup. And, I barely got Wes’s OK for me ripping it out (I had to pull a few teeth) so I can not, sadly, tell you my other plan.
The one I alluded to on Facebook last night when I said I had an epiphany. Because, occasionally, Wes reads my blog and I can’t stress him out with the details of future “possible” projects.
Someone asked how Wes is with all my projects … well, let’s just say I just can’t throw too much at him all at once and leave it at that.
I’ll share those other plans as soon as it’s safe. 😉

Glad to hear you were able to make your decision! I’m also glad to know that my husband isn’t the only one that sometimes needs some convincing on projects like this…lol.

Oh it was not happy conversation. He will love it when it’s done though. I keep telling him that anyway. LOL

Nice, can’t wait to see the progress!

It is good to know that I am in good company “breaking in” the husband on project ideas. I an not the master you are, but I do have ideas up my sleeve that I gradually have to reveal, explain my thoughts, and justify, so he will go along with it! Good luck! Can’t wait to see what is next!
Sandra says
I don’t know what the right approach is. I’ve tried all possible avenues and have come to the conclusion that he is just always going to be miserable with projects, the proposal of projects and the mention of projects so I might as well just do what works best for me. LOL

Dayum! And I was really craving an epiphany, too. Guess I’ll have to make do with some coffee and Oreos.
Sandra says
Yum, bring some over and I’ll share my epiphany!

I have a husband that read my blog and have to be careful not to over whelm him too!!!
Sandra says
LOL! Glad someone understands my plight. 😀

I would change it to a powder room for guests. Install a bathroom in the closet and put built in cupboards/armoire in the small bedroom??
Dying to know what your plan is though.

I tell you, we should be neighbors. We have the same kind of mind. LOL! (which might actually be a little scary for both of our husbands!)
What is so sad about that dumb bathtub is that, while it wouldn’t have been ideal, they could have moved it in almost a foot and not have had the problem. I mean, don’t these people have, like, degrees in architecture?! Weird.
But I must say, I am enjoying your project since I don’t have one of my own going right now. Cheers! Lisa~
Sandra says
Lisa I think our husbands might lose their minds if we were neighbors. (well mine might anyway)
The tub absolutely could have been in a foot and everything would have been “Normal” but NOOOO. Oh well, I have a new plan and I’m going with it.
p.s. You are welcome to join me on my projects any time.

My blog has a “husband filter” also 🙂 Sometimes I wish I had kept the blog a secret, lol!
Sandra says
I’ve been thinking the same thing recently! LOL

I love checking in on your website. You have an amazing eye for renovations and I am truly inspired. Maybe someday I will tackle a project that moves beyond just sanding and staining…LOL! Keep up the great work!
