When it rains it pours!

Wes and I decided a few weeks ago that we need to hire some work done on this house.  It’s twice the size of our last house and that house took me 5 years to complete!

Uhm…yeah, I’m gonna need some help on this one.  I seriously doubt I’ll be living here 10 years and I’d like to finish it and ENJOY LIVING in it  for a while this time.

So I’m having some work done!

I try not to have too much going on at once because I like to at least “supervise” even if I’m not “doing it myself”- but yesterday was a bit out of control.

Let me just tell you  it was a torrential downpour of activity here yesterday!

The painters were already going to town on my porch…

…when the electrician showed up and while I was “helping” him…

…I looked out the window and saw the CABLE BURYING GUY pull up!

I about jumped off the ladder and ran out and hugged the guy!

The only thing that saved him was the fact that he was on the phone.

He declined letting me take his picture but he buried the internet/TV cable OVER YONDER!

And while the cable guy and the painters were doing their thing, I cut the rest of my MDF with my new assistant, Laura.

Ok, I didn’t hire an assistant. (Wouldn’t that be nice?)   She just came out to help me.  NICE!

(I’m thinking about taking applications for Internships.  2 character references required!  😀 )

Then to top off my day, my chandeliers arrived!

I haven’t even had time to open the box but I’m starting to get excited about this closet.

Today,  I’m hoping to knock out 6 of the 28 cabinets I designed for that room.

Oiy!  What a Day!

  1. Yes but I’m so glad it’s happening. Now if my back will just cooperate so I can build these dang cabinets! I hate building on the ground.

  2. Yes! It’s awesome to leave a room one way and come back and all the work has happened and you didn’t have to do any of it. I could get used to this – if I had a bigger wallet. 🙂

  3. Goodness. If two weeks procrastination is the loser mark, I’m a lost cause! Two weeks is nothing and I can’t claim any productivity anyway. All I did was answer the door five times and run around like a crazy woman trying to keep tabs on everything going on.

  4. Wow! What a productive day! Makes me want to go out and finish painting the door I started TWO WEEKS AGO. Sigh. I’m a loser.
