Things are moving along. Last week my living room floor looked like this!
Now it looks like this.
And I finished texturing, sanding and priming! I just have to paint, put on some moulding and baseboards and change out some light fixtures — then I think that will wrap up the living room.
Oh… and do something with that coat closet! And no, it will not be accessible in December if the Christmas tree is in front of it but we’ll have to live with that. This might be one of the things that the next owners say, “What in the world were THEY thinking”! LOL
There wasn’t enough to put a door in the hallway and I didn’t want to just waste that space so “it is what it is”.
At least we’ll have a storage closet for the majority of the year…something we currently do not have. Other than the bedroom closets, this big house has one single storage closet upstairs in the giant room that will someday be Madison’s “Teen Hangout”. Not nearly enough storage, though there is plenty of room for more.
In time, along with 1001 other things, that will be remedied. 🙂

If you make it a Christmas/holiday storage closet, then who cares if you put the tree in front of it! Not sure if you have that much Christmas stuff, but I know a lot of people who do. The flooring looks great.

Wow!! I haven’t been on the blogs much so I will have to look back on your posts. It looks amazing so far! Great job on the floor!

Looks amazing! I love the color….not too dark that it shows every. single. speck. of dirt, but not so light that it looks like you fell the birch trees yourself. Lol. Lovely.
Also, there isn’t a single house I’ve lived in that I haven’t thought…”what in the heck were they thinking.”
I wish you sunny days also.

I would imagine that anyone lucky enough to buy a house from you will not think a thing of it!!
The floor looks fabulous!
Have a great day.

I wonder if you always replace the baseboards or if you paint them? I’ve got a huge house with dark woodwork that is smaller than the big stuff of now, but it’s in good shape. You are just amazing. I keep looking at what you’ve done and I can’t believe it.
