I’ve been “Framed” (By Mrs. Sawdust, with a Nailer, in the Powder Room)

I’m making progress in the Powder Room.  Just when I started to feel comfortable with the Open Bathroom Policy!

First I tore out the closet.  Then I tore out the tub.

Then I took out the extra door.

Framed that in and tore all the drywall off another wall.

It absolutely ALWAYS gets worse before it gets better!

Then I tore out that wall and reframed it for a pocket door.

And framed in the wall to close off the Powder Room.  (The future “Coat Closet” is a surprise!)

That’s what I’ve been up to this week.

How did this “Living Room Coat Closet Tearout” turn into such a big project?

Muhahahahaha!  😉

  1. You are my HERO!!

  2. It’s always something, no? You are going to love it in the end…just like you want it.

  3. I’d say, “I want to be you when I grow up” but, a) I’m already older than you and haven’t grown up yet so that’s out and b) I know at least SOME of what you do requires math and other than balancing a check book I-don’t-do-math. 🙂

Carry on. You are daily entertainment!

  4. It looks so much better already! I’m curious about your plans for the coat closet… Per code, do you have to provide access to the plumbing that went to the shower?

  5. Sandra,

Are those standard 2x4s used in your framing? And it’s a good thing that Wes wasn’t around when you started. And it’s a good thing that he trusts you with all this. But it is SO much better already!!! You can see the cohesion! Can you feel, hear, smell and taste said cohesion yet? LOL
Seriously, I love what you are doing and wish I was there to help and learn. What do you think; interested in slave labor?
