Madison’s room is almost done. It’s all down to the details now. I moved her furniture in and decided her bed color HAD to be changed. I didn’t like the creamy white against the white wall.
In spite of the fact that some of my Facebook readers suggested grey, red, yellow, blue, green and orange as alternate options, I stuck with my original plan of painting it black.
I was tempted to go with grey and even primed it that color. It looked great but, I still wanted black. I think the other details in the room will really bring it all together.
We’ve got pillows,
chalkboards, benches,
drapes…
I’m loving this room.
Though, it’s looking a little too sophisticated so I need to “Fun” it up (just a bit). I’m painting some frames for the blackboard and a large mirror and I hope that will finish it all off to Madison’s satisfaction.
If not, she can sleep on the couch and I’ll take this room! LOL

I like the black, it contrasts so well in front of the greys and whites 🙂

I agree. Black was the perfect choice. I love all the shades of gray.

I love the black. I have to say that map is amazing. I showed my son what a DIYer can do when they want to be different than all the rest. My son’s have black desks and a black cabinet in their room and the color always looks sharp.
