House Tour – Master Bathroom

I painted the cabinets and trim, changed out the mirror and faucets, changed out the lights and added some new knobs and towel rings (and hooks).
That all made a pretty big change!
The tub and shower area didn’t change too drastically.
{Before}
We thought that step was a hazard! So I tore it out along with some of the tile/wall. My plan was to rip out the shower and build a walk in shower and re-tile the tub and surround.
Let me back up! STORY ALERT! I started this project the same week my hubby and I started the basement. Since we were working on that together, I wasn’t supposed to work on it alone during the week. ‘Cause, you know, it was our “together” project!
As remodeling our house is my “day job”, I needed something to work on until Saturday rolled around. So, I tore out some of the bathroom.
But, we didn’t get very far on the basement working 4 hours each Saturday so we decided I better go ahead and hurry it along during the weekdays so it could be completed some time this decade.
Naturally, I shifted my energy to the basement, because I always focus on just one project at a time until said project is done (cough, cough)! The bathroom sat, and sat, and sat…for 2 years (maybe 3…it’s hard to remember) until just last month when we decided we had to move!
At that point, I had to rescue and revive. So we patched some drywall and I re-tiled and changed out some faucet handles and called it good.
Come on in and see if you notice a difference.
Little bit? It’s not the bathroom I originally planned it to be- but I like it.
The door closest to the shower leads to the closet.
I’ll show you that tomorrow. 🙂
If you’re just joining me, you can see all the rooms I previous posted on my “House Tour” page. Thanks for visiting!
WOW! That looks SO amazing!!! Youdid an awesome job! I wish you were my neighbor so you could help me…ha ha
You did a fantastic job. My favorite part is the mirror in the middle! Where did you find that?!
I can't get over how seamless the tub transformation is. Professional work.
The whole bathroom is so beautiful (you lucky girl, its HUGE!) but my favorite is your revamped sink area. The black trimmed mirrors were the perfect addition :0)
ah-mazing! i love your style!
