I tore off the big ugly mirror and replaced it with these two that I bought on clearance from Home Goods or somewhere. They were silver and I spray painted them white.
I tore out the big ceramic towel bars which again required drywall patching. (Those are seriously the stupidest accessories I’ve ever seen. They were installed IN the drywall. There was a hole cut and the piece caulked INSIDE the drywall!)
Anyway, I painted some beaded board and installed that along with some towel/robe hooks. (Pottery Barn Outlet again.)
There was originally one of those big” giant exposed light bulb” fixtures in there so I had the electrician move the original junction box and install another one so there was one above each faucet (which I also replaced and that went a whole lot easier than the master bathroom hacksaw debacle!)
I painted the cabinets green and left the fishy tile alone. (Go back and look at the before!) I didn’t want to tear up the shower tile.
I just decided to work with the fishy tile colors instead of fight it or make more work for myself by tearing it out. With the shower curtain so you can’t see it anyway.
If you’re just joining me, you can see all the rooms I previous posted on my “House Tour” page. Thanks for visiting!

LOVE! And I really like how you make things work by altering what you have instead of ripping everything out and remodeling. Well done!

Very nice! I love the new mirrors, light fixtures and especially those hooks! I have always believed that towel bars and kids do not mix! 🙂 Give them hooks and the towels are easy to hang!

If your house doesn't sell SUPER FAST…then there's no hope for all other houses on the market!

I need to decorate my bathroom…want to help?

Wow, you would have thought you gutted the place. Did you paint the cabinets with a brush or roller? I found a new narrow vanity for my bathroom, but the wood color is honey, which I don't like. I am thinking about painting the cabinet or keep searching.

Yeah, what's the best way to paint an ugly oak vanity. I have a couple that I'd love to get rid of, but painting would be much more affordable at this point. I love everything you do! I love the white. LOVE IT! Love the bead board. So, is it called bead board or wains coating? What's the diff?

Your house has been through a major upgrade. Love seing the before and afters of all the spaces. Towel bars are a waste, who really neatly hangs their towels? hooks are the best. can't wait to see what is next on the tour..

Looking swell. I am thinking of beadboard for a bathroom…how high did you go? Yours looks like the perfect height.

How did you go about removing that mirror from the wall? Did you have to repair the wall?
