Hey this is great….I live in the south and yes we call this cornhole…and we have many friends that have these. They have painted these in different ways…one guy was a marine and so he painted his with the US Marine Corp. symbol, a lot of our friends paint their’s with their favorite college colors and make the bags to match….way cool. Hey, thanks for all the great posts..love your site…keep it comin’!

Out here we usually cut a number of holes with different points values for each hole. And we call it a Bean Bag Toss game, just as you named this post. Nice job!

Great tutorial! This is a great gift for newlyweds too, we received one as a wedding present. Definitely a nice surprise and a nice departure from the toasters and crystal! 🙂

Awesome! Saving this for my husband to make! Glad to see the legs fold in! We’d love to make one for camping and we’d need it to fold down to fit in the camper!

Love this post, glad I found it. They call it Cornhole here too. It’s very popular among my husband’s friends so we’ll see if I can talk him into making one. And thanks for sharing your story about your needle fatalities. I broke 2 making a bag and thought it was just me.

I’m bookmarking this! I can’t wait to make these one day. How much did all the supplies cost you?

Hey just a quick question – I made some of these before I saw your awesome tutorial… but I think I used the wrong material – I see you used duckcloth? Did the stitches hold up to tossing? We blew a couple bags right open with tossing…..

I live in Ohio and we call it Cornhole also. There is a Cornhole Association as well and they have all the rules and regulations for the game on their website:http://www.americancornhole.org/. Where I’m from, this game is a huge deal. They have tournaments and there’s even a professional circuit. It was supposedly originally from Germany, a century or 2 ago, then Ohio University repopularized it in the 1990’s.
