Use your imagination and insert a cute picture of my Mini Me holding a bunch of Wrapped packages! (work in progress)
Got it!?!
OK,
Since I haven’t had anything to do but sew and craft lately, I’ve decided that I’m going to make all my Christmas gifts now. (While I have the time.)
I also decided that I’m going to open an Etsy Shop. (Because quite a few people have asked if they could buy something so why not?)
Then, because I have Christmas Gift making on my brain, I also decided to do a series on my blog called:
Handmade Christmas in July
July will be all Handmade Gift Projects that could be great for any occasion. I’m just calling it Christmas because that is MY gift making intention!
I also want to offer lots of handmade gifts that one could BUY if they aren’t really the craft making sort of person but they like the idea of giving Handmade gifts.
I would like to invite ANYONE who has a REALLY CUTE Handmade GIFT-Y KIND OF CRAFT Tutorial to email me with your idea for a Guest Tutorial!
If you have an Etsy shop, and you do a Guest Tutorial, you can link to your Etsy shop for those that want your CUTE Handmade Gift but don’t want to make it themselves!
If you have an Etsy or any other kind of shop and don’t want to do a tutorial but want to advertise your CUTE Handmade Gifts, we can discuss ads and giveaways!
Send me an email if you want to participate: sawdustgirl (at) gmail (dot) com.
This is going to be so fun!!!

I dont have a tutorial to share but I will follow along and participate in Christmas in July with you! Of course, that means copying whatever you’re making and passing it off to my family as my idea. 😉

Haha! That’s the whole idea, right?

Okay. I feel like this is a push for me. I was planning to do all my Christmas-ing in July for all 7 nephews, 6 nieces, 5 kids and 1 unknown (can’t believe they are waiting to find out gender at the birth – the nerve! :). I’ll have to see what (if anything) I can come up with. Regardless, I can’t wait to see what shows up on your site!

I have made a really cute set of placemats that I would love to do a tutorial for. I don’t know if it will let me link to them, but just in case, they are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/teacherlady/3307117507/in/set-72157603809201625
Let me know if it is something that might work for you!

What a great idea to get all your Christmas gifts finished while you have the time. How exciting to have an Etsy shop. I keep thinking to open one myself!
Can’t wait to see your shop and your handmade projects!

OK, I will make a tutorial or 2 for you. I am in the same boat as you, everyone keeps telling me the outfits I make my granddaughter are cute & I should sell, so I am launching an etsy shop too. This would be a good way to let people see my shop and blog at the same time! Thanks for such a great idea!!!!

Sandra, Several years ago, on one of my sewing list, people contributed ideas (not necessarily tutorials) of gift ideas for different categories: teens, toddlers, teachers, men, women, elderly, etc. You could have a different category for a day or a week.
