When you don’t have a lot of extra time, but you want to create special holiday memories with your family, you look for “the easy button”. I saw some cute Valentine Marshmallow Pops on Pinterest from Mommy Gaga and knew that would be something special Madison and I could do in an afternoon…but with a Halloween twist!
To make our Halloween Marshmallow Pops, we used:
- giant marshmallows
- paper straws I found at TJMaxx
- Halloween sprinkles
- candy coating from Hobby Lobby
We melted the candy in the microwave, dipped the marshmallows and decorated to our hearts content!
Seriously SOOO easy!
Madison loves them. I’m not a huge fan on marshmallows unless they’re toasted over a campfire — but the fun was in making them.
Taking time to make memories while you can is important. I sometimes think I can put life off “Just until I finish this big project”.
The problem with that is, there’s always a big project. So, the busier I feel, the harder it is but I HAVE to step away and have some quality time creating little memories. ‘Cause I keep hearing these years are going to fly by and soon I’ll wonder where they went. And I don’t want to wonder where they went. I want to live them as they fly by and know full well what we were doing as they happened!
This year, we froze in a wet tent and made Marshmallow pops and … some other stuff.

Thank you for this brilliant idea! My daughter is 3 and my son is 2 and we’re hosting our 1st halloween party next week with 13 children and this will go down a treat. There is no doubt that Evelyn & Jacob will eat as we make :)Your site has reached me in the UK and I’ll pass you on x

Thank you Christine. I need to make some lists. Maybe that would help me be more organized. LOL

What an excellent post! And the paper straws are cute (am going to have to scour our TJ Maxx!) I totally agree – it is hard to step away from whatever your “project” happens to be (work at home, DIY, homemaker, etc) and remember to actively participate in life. I do it all the time – have a list a mile long of memories I want to make and i get so involved in making the list and thinking of what will be that I forget that those items need to be checked off, too. Thanks for being the inspiration today to actually cross at least 1 thing off. 🙂 You’re awesome!
