Three year house tour.

TN house tour - VideoIt’s August 2014!!!  Which means we have been in this house for three years.  I can barely believe it and I know I said the same thing last year after I did a two year update but …it seams like after three years I should have a LOT more projects completed by now.  But, as I said in the video, I can only do what I can do so I’m going to just keep plugging away and see where the next three years lands us.  Oiy!  I REALLLLLY hope in three more years this house is D.O.N.E.

So this house tour is a video tour so I could walk you through just like I did when we got our key and before we moved in.  This time there’s a lot of chaos and mess and craziness going on.  I hope you can see through all that and recognize the potential I think this house has.  If you’re a visual person and have to SEE it, come on back in three more years for the “It’s DONE” house tour.  🙂

If you haven’t see the “Before” house tour, you might want to check that out first so you can compare.

  1. Thanks for the video! I love the walk-through. Gives me a better sense of the floor plan.

I think that for a one-woman show (despite the occasional subcontractor), and factoring in your surgery and down-time, that this is GREAT progress for three years.

I’m sloooooooooooow at my home renovation efforts. But then, I have three children, one of whom is still a nursing baby. So I can only do little bits.

We do what we can when we can. And you are such an inspiration. Thanks for all you’ve taught me through your blog.

You have done so much work already! It looks amazing and I am pretty sure you will be done in less than three years. I give it a year cuz you’re like the energizer bunny!

  3. I absolutely love this video. It is so refreshing to see a not – staged house and to hear your visions for the home. You’ve done great work and I know more is to come. Thank you.

You and I could be BFFs! We moved in our home August 2011 and it is currently in about the same condition as yours…functional but not-quite-finished kitchen…walls torn out…finished basement now half unfinished…we even tore out both sets of stairs and put in straight ones. Occasionally I question our sanity, when I have time! We’re currently working on tiling the mudroom/laundry/half bath and then we’ll be laying wood floors. The craziest part is we don’t intend to stay here. We have high hopes of moving to TN next year so this is all just for s&g!! LOL

  5. Wow, very inspiring to see how much you have done. Can’t wait for the next home tour 🙂
