The Hangout

Well, we did it.  Oh my, there’s a reason I don’t do live gigs.

Kristi shared some great gift ideas for her part.  I was going to build a quick and easy crate but got sidetracked talking about tools and safety.  LOL

I didn’t have anything to show at the end of the hangout.  Oh well.  Hopefully if you watch this, you’ll come away knowing how to put a box together.  And if you can do that, you’re just about ready to conquer anything!  🙂

Please note:  Most nail guns have safety features to help prevent accidents but some may not.  Read and follow the safety manual for your nail gun to ensure proper use and safety.

  1. Love your Google Hangout! I do them in the food world and am so glad to see that the craft world is finally starting to do them! 🙂

  2. This really was fun. You both did a great job.

Sandra, I love that you are not a “tool snob” (like my husband) and have given Harbor Freight tools a chance. I have had great success with the tools I have purchased from them, and my argument to him is that if we need a specialized tool for a diy job that in all likelihood we might not ever use again, why not buy the less expensive harbor freight tool? Although, I have several that I have used on a regular basis for about 3 years now with no problems. Anyway, love your blog!

  3. I watched your crazy, funny, informative “hangout”. Thanks, you two. I will have to have my husband cut my boards on his saw as I’m not nuts about using it, although I do help him. I will use the nail gun, though. I love that beveled look and the tape hint.

Thanks for the hint on the soapmaking of putting a stickon in the mold.
