Seriously, would you trudge through this to come look at my house?
Hi there, entry walk is right here!
Hmmm, didn’t really help!
Maybe if we use sleds?
Nope! Have to break out the “big boy”! Good thing we have gas.
1/2 hour later -one pass down the driveway and I’m ready for a nice HOT Chai Tea!
It is pretty!
Dang we have AWESOME neighbors! They came and finished the job while we enjoyed our tea!
Wonder if I should worry about how the mailman is going to deliver.
Nah. It’ll melt eventually!
If you’re just joining me, you can see all the rooms I previous posted on my “House Tour” page. Thanks for visiting!

Awesome pics. So many of my Greater Chicago friends that I work with at Abbott have been sending me pictures of the aftermath…..Great photos!!! Could not get over Lake Shore Drive – what a mess that was!

I think we can officially call ourselves Chicagoans now. Just in time for you to leave. You will be laughing next year when you see how Tennesseans deal with snow and the thought of snow. 🙂

Oh, did you guys get some snow??? Ha, I'm just joking! It sure is gorgeous…I'm just north of Chicago 6 hours ish and it missed us entirely. But we got our 21" in December so we're tied! BTW, love the house tour so far…you certainly inspire me.When New York City got hit a few weeks ago (or about a month ago, in the last storm) they were saying it cost the city about 1 million dollars per inch for snow removal. I bet it's similar for Chicago…that is just insane!

Holy moly. I haven't seen that much snow since November. Glad you have such good neighbors to take care of you while your husband is gone.

I live in NJ and we've been pounded with snow lately. A few days ago we got a notice from the post office telling us we had to dig out the space around our mailbox. The snow pile around that thing is almost as tall as me!Our snowblower was hands down our best investment this year. Maybe even better than the house itself!

As a Tennessean, I know that you will love our state! Land of ice and snow and few snowplows. Where in TN will you be moving? I am envious of your skills and drive. I would love to hire you to re-do some things in our house. So if you are moving close to me, I'll roll out the red carpet.Beckie in Brentwood, TN

Boy, that's a lot of snow! You're probably safe from people coming to the front door or getting to your mailbox. 🙂

Oh. My. Goodness! I wouldn't even know what to do if we had that much snow. Wouldn't it melt and flood your house??? I've lived in TX my entire life, and we were amazed to get 5 inches of snow this week. It shut the entire Dallas metroplex down! I can't imagine what to do with several feet of snow. I wouldn't be clearing a walkway, that's for sure! I'd probably sit in a cozy chair with hot chocolate and a romance novel until it all melted :)By the way, thank you for all your links to where you shop for home supplies online. My mom's house just flooded (burst pipe from the cold weather), and we're looking for suppliers for flooring and redoing her kitchen. Your article helped immensely because I've seen the great renovations you do and trust your advice.Good luck selling your home! Melanie 🙂
