If you’re like me, you save every loving piece of scrap wood that is reasonably large enough to be useful in some way or another at some point in your life. And if you’re like that, no matter how big your storage area is, at some point your scrap wood supply will outgrow your storage option. When your sCrap wood starts to take over the world it’s time to make a conscious effort to use it up. As in: Challenge yourself to use only sCrap Wood to build a Project.
I threw out this challenge to some blogging buddies who are posting their projects this week and am throwing it out to you too!
sCrap Wood Challenge
Create something with only scrap wood!
- Free wood, branches, pallets, reclaimed lumber is all good.
- Also feel free to use new fasteners (nails, screws etc.) and finishing products.
If you have a blog, link up your project below. If you don’t blog but use facebook, twitter or instagram, post your project picture and use the hashtag #scrapwoodchallenge and tag me @sawdustgirl so I can find and we all can see your projects.
I’ll be sharing of few of my own sCrap Wood projects this week too so get ready for your socks to be blown off. On second thought, set your expectations pretty low so you won’t be disappointed. ok? Low expectations and a pleasant surprise is always better than the reverse. foshoyo

This is just for fun. There is no judging. There is no prize. Just sharing good ideas with each other so we can feel warm and fuzzy and of course, use some of the good ideas we see to use up more of our own scrap piles! Link up will be active all week so you have plenty of time to throw some craze awesome something together!
Can’t wait to see what y’all can do with some sCrap wood!

Working with scraps gets the creative juices flowing. Last year I built this post office bank out of my scrap pile.

Thanks for the great link party. This got me to thinking…. what I really need to do with my scrap wood is to make storage for my scrap wood. 😉
