Terms of Use
Welcome to SawdustGirl.com! By viewing, accessing, liking, poking, tweeting, friending, pinning, linking to, recommending, inning, outing, stumbling, sharing, or otherwise using this blog, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. Just So We’re Clear
The content on this blog is for informational and entertainment purposes only. If you find any content offensive, entertaining, religious, political, scientific, metric, or sexist—rest assured, that was not intentional. We take no responsibility for how our content is perceived.
2. Accuracy & General Human-ness
We strive to provide accurate, useful, and sometimes even clever information. However, as mere mortals (prone to typos, brain farts, and the occasional DIY disaster), we can’t guarantee everything here is 100% error-free, eternally factual, or free from clumsy humor.
3. No Professional Advice Given
The authors of this blog are not professional plumbers, electricians, contractors, models, therapists, clergy, or psychics. Any DIY advice, project plans, or general guidance provided is based on personal experience. Always use common sense and consult a qualified professional when necessary. We are not responsible for any injuries, damages, or unfortunate furniture mishaps resulting from using our advice, tips, techniques, or recommendations.
4. DIY at Your Own Risk
While we do our best to promote safe and responsible DIY practices, all projects come with some level of risk. Use proper safety equipment, follow manufacturer instructions, and if something seems like a bad idea—it probably is. Proceed with caution, and remember: super glue and fingers are not friends.
5. Intellectual Property & Use of Content
All content on this site, including plans, projects, ideas, and images, is for personal use only. We know our ideas are mind-blowingly amazing and possibly worth a gaggle of gold, but they are not for commercial use. Please don’t steal, sell, or profit from our work without explicit permission.
6. External Links & Third-Party Content
We may link to other websites for reference, inspiration, or just because they seem cool. However, we have no control over those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, or questionable taste in font choices. Click at your own discretion.
7. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration & Class Action Waiver
a. Arbitration Agreement
By using this website, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or your use of SawdustGirl.com shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and applies to all claims, whether based on contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory.
b. Arbitration Rules & Procedures
The arbitration will be conducted by either the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or JAMS, at the election of the party initiating arbitration. If AAA is chosen, the arbitration shall follow its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at https://www.adr.org/consumer. If JAMS is chosen, the arbitration shall follow its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures, available at https://www.jamsadr.com/rules-streamlined-arbitration/. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
c. Class Action Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and SawdustGirl.com agree that any dispute resolution proceedings shall be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. You further agree not to participate in any class action against SawdustGirl.com as a plaintiff or class member.
d. Exceptions to Arbitration
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent unauthorized use of intellectual property, infringement, or misappropriation.
8. Limitation of Liability
