You might not know this about me but I have a HUGE love of sweats and treats! Yep, it’s true. And since last Thursday was national S’more day I thought I would share my recipe for the Worlds Best S’mores! They are actually really simple and do not require you to start a fire, unless you’re into that kind of thing. But for me and my family these delicious treats aren’t something we wait for a cool enough night to break out the kindling.
The key to making irresistable S’mores is to make them in the oven so the chocolate melts which is what a campfire never accomplishes. I use the broil setting. I swear this new oven had Hi and Low broil settings but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to adjust the temperature so I stick with the default setting. If you have a Low Broil — that’s what I’d go with.
OK so this is probably the easiest, BEST treat you will ever make!
Pull out a cookie sheet and place as many graham crackers as you would like s’mores on the sheet, followed by one of my secret ingredients, who wants to have a boring old s’more with just regular hershey’s chocolate when you could have an explosion of delicious flavors in your s’more? So I add Hershey’s Symphony bar (with almonds and toffee), for some extra love. Then place the 2 large marshmallows onto the chocolate and graham cracker.
And place into the oven. Make sure you keep a close eye on these, because they have a tendency to burn quickly… (especially when you can’t figure out how to turn down the temp on your broil setting)
A little dark but still tasty!
once the marshmallows have reached their desired level of golden brown its time to take them out of the oven and assemble the delicious melted gooey s’more.
once assembled prepare to enjoy this delicious summer treat all year round
