Keep paint on your project, not on your hands.
I don’t enjoy using oil based paints but sometimes it’s what the job calls for. It’s hard to clean up and you have to use chemicals. If you get it on your skin you either let it wear off or use chemicals or super abrasive soaps to clean it off. I swear I can taste it when I wash my hands with paint thinner and you might as well use sandpaper as abrasive soaps. I’ll take the easy road please!
I keep a box of disposable gloves in my shop. I wear a pair when painting with oil based primer or paint. Throw them away when I’m done.
I’ve never tried them but there are biodegradable gloves that you can compost. I read some reviews that said they ripped too easily but they are an option if that seems like something you would want to use.
