A few weeks ago while I was perusing HomeTalk, I stumbled upon a project from Suzie at The Accent Piece that caught my eye. I clicked over to see more details and was blown away by Suzie’s amazing projects. This is probably the most amazing DIY barn door I’ve ever seen. I had to invite Suzie over to say hello and share some awesomeness. When you’re done gazing here, head over to Suzie’s place and look around at her Project Gallery, you won’t be disappointed, I promise!
Hello to all you Sawdust and Paper Scrap readers! My name is Suzie and I blog over at my little slice of the internet called The Accent Piece. I was so excited when Sandra asked me to guest post over here to share a couple ideas. I generally blog about whatever current project is on my plate, whether it is painting furniture, crafts, even Photoshop tutorials, but my true love is building. There is just something so wonderful about building something from scratch and being able to use it in your home. So, I’ve decided to share a couple building projects I have completed lately.
Some friends of ours recently tore up an old deck and offered the wood to my husband and I. So, we decided to try our hand at building a bed. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
You can find the full tutorial here.
My husband recently came home with some wood from an old dog house that a neighbor was getting rid of. I’ve been wanting some planters for the front porch so we made these guys. I think they add just a little charm to the front porch…and it doesn’t hurt that they were free!
So there you have it…a couple of my favorite building projects. Hope you enjoyed them and a HUGE thank you to Sandra for having me over!
