My TO-DO List

Posted on: July 30th, 2012 by Sandra 46 Comments

This weekend I sat down and wrote a To-Do list because, frankly, unless I walk around in my house with my eyes closed — it’s quite overwhelming.

I thought it might be a good thing to write it all down.  Either because the enormity of the list might push me to work faster or because crossing things off the list might give me a sense of accomplishment so even though I can see the million other things that still need to happen, I can feel good about what I’ve done.

Have I mentioned how completely overwhelmed I am in this house?  I have?  Oh, well then, no need to mention it again.  Gah!!!

In times like this, you just have to press on.  Take it one day at a time.  Put one foot in front of the other … and just keep plugging away!

I’m going to post this list as a new Page on my “Navigation Menu” so you can check in and see how I’m doing!  (And because I’ll never see this list again if I stash it somewhere in this house!)

  1. THANK YOU for this post!! I just stepped in the front door of my new house 2.5 weeks ago, the 2nd/last moving truck was taken back 1 week ago and people are constantly asking me if I’m all unpacked and settled in! Are they crazy? I moved 1200 miles, I’m a SAHM of 3 kids 5,6,&8, Hubs works 60hrs a week, and I had house guests for 10 days.
I haven’t even figured out all the light switches, much less figured out how to live in the house. (Oh you thought you had light switch issues? heehee! Want to turn on the light that’s just outside the family entry, or the light that’s inside next to the door? Good luck with the 3 switches right next to the door, one of which is a mystery. You have to go in the house, up 5 stairs and another 4 feet to find those switches. Which are grouped with switches for yet another room, whose door is 6 feet away from there. HA!)

I am overwhelmed for you – but I love it. I am so much more productive when I have tons of things to do like this.
